Beginning Chorus
Beginning Chorus is a year-long course open to any young singer grades 9-12 with the consent of the director. There is no audition requirement. This course focuses on basic vocal techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and two-part choral literature for the beginning choral ensemble. Beginning Chorus performs at all concerts throughout the year.
Spartan Singers
Spartan Singers is a year-long course open to any student grades 9-12 with the consent of the director. There is no audition requirement. This is an intermediate course focusing on SAB or three-part literature from all periods of music history. Students develop advanced vocal and musicianship skills, as well as sight-reading training. Spartan Singers performs at all school concerts, as well as several festivals throughout the year, community, and school events.
Sandpipers is a year-long course open to advanced singers in grades 10-12 by audition only. Students in Sandpipers are expected to be the top musicians at Sanderson while continuing to develop advanced vocal and musicianship skills. Students study and perform advanced literature for mixed ensembles. Sandpipers performs at all school concerts, as well as several festivals throughout the year, community, and school events.
